ATLANTA – Chuck Fruit, formerly vp/director of global media services at Coca-Cola, was named director of global advertising and media, by Coke senior vp/director of global marketing Peter Sealey. In his new capacity, Fruit will manage creative advertising strategy and executions for Coca-Cola, diet Coke, Sprite and Fanta, Sealey said in a statement late Friday. Where before Sealey appeared to be orchestrating the creative shootout between Creative Artists Agency and longtime agency McCann-Erickson, that battle will now presumably be run by Fruit, who reports to Sealey.
