NEW YORK Scripps Networks has acquired Incando, owner of a user-generated Web site and content management platform.

This is the second new-media purchase for Scripps Networks in less than a month.

Incando is best known for its personal media sharing service Pickle.com, along with the user-generated content management platform Powered by Pickle.

The Web 2.0 technology, which is based on proprietary software, enables users to upload photos and videos from computers, mobile phones or digital cameras.

The acquisition of Incando will enhance the user-centric, social media, and personalization functionality of Scripps Networks’ lifestyle content.
