Copywriter Named Partner, Creative Chief
LOS ANGELES–After two years in the Big Apple, Jonathan Schoenberg has returned to his former Colorado agency as a partner.
Schoenberg, 30, who rejoined TDA Advertising in Longmont, Colo., a few weeks ago, is also serving as the 12-person shop’s creative director. Agency founder and president Thomas Dooley steps down as creative chief, but continues to head the agency.
“Jonathan is going to play a big role here,” said Dooley, who is an art director. “With his skill as a copywriter, he rounds things out.”
Schoenberg spent the past two years as a copywriter at New York agencies, including Mad Dogs & Englishmen and, most recently, Ammirati Puris Lintas, where he worked on such accounts as UPS, Labatt’s Beer and Compaq. During that time, his work was honored at the One Show and by the Art Directors Club and others.
The New York native stepped down as associate creative director of TDA two years ago, but decided to return when Dooley offered him an owner/partner post. “I really missed the open spaces,” Schoenberg said, noting that he is an avid fly fisherman and mountain biker. “It’s great to be coming back as partner.”
TDA’s accounts include Cannondale bicycles, Thule car racks and a local microbrewer, Left Hand Brewing Co.
