WPP’s Ogilvy & Mather and Omnicom’s DDB have been appointed as marketing shops for Lee Kum Kee, a maker of leading authentic Chinese sauces.
The assignment will see O&M partnering closely with Lee Kum Kee to promote the brand’s major product lines to consumers across China.
DDB has been appointed to run its Hong Kong creative business.
O&M said it would also work with Lee Kum Kee to develop an overarching brand strategy for its global campaigns.
“Lee Kum Kee is a valuable and iconic Chinese brand with huge potential. We are honored to help them develop creative campaigns that will further strengthen the brand around the world,” said Shenan Chuang, CEO of Ogilvy & Mather Group China.
“We believe our partnership will also increase understanding and appreciation of Chinese food culture through all target groups,” Chuang said.
