NEW YORK Satellite radio company XM is reviewing its advertising account and using Pile and Co. in Boston to handle the process, sources said.

The Washington, D.C., client spent about $55 million in media through November of 2002, per CMR.

TBWA\Chiat\Day in Playa del Rey, Calif., is the incumbent, but sources said the agency is not defending. The agency created work that featured such musical stars as B.B. King, David Bowie and Snoop Doggy Dog. TBWA\C\D won the account in June 2000 after a review.
