CHICAGO Sara Lee Corp. on Tuesday said Brenda Barnes has been named president and chief operating officer, effective July 1.
Barnes is the former president, CEO of Pepsi-Cola North America. She currently serves as a director on a number of corporate boards, including Avon, The New York Times Co., Sears and Staples. She will report to C. Steven McMillan, chairman and CEO of Chicago-based Sara Lee.
