Saatchi Planning Chief Heads to LLKFB

NEW YORK Claire Hassid, director of strategic planning at Saatchi & Saatchi here, is leaving for a top marketing role at direct marketing shop LLKFB, Saatchi confirmed.

Hassid, who managed a 23-person department at Publicis Groupe’s Saatchi, is becoming chief marketing officer at Omnicom Group’s LLKFB in New York, whose clients include Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson and MasterCard. The post appears to be new and Hassid will report to CEO Bob Lieber.

Neither a start date nor a job description was immediately available. Hassid and Lieber could not be reached. But in an e-mail explaining the move to Saatchi colleagues, Hassid said, “I’m very excited about the opportunity to work with this gem of an agency. They are poised for tremendous growth and I’m looking forward to building a bright future for them as part of the new management team.”

Hassid’s duties at Saatchi will be absorbed by a quartet of senior executives who handle strategic planning on key accounts, said Scott Gilbert, co-CEO of the New York office. They are executive group planning directors Madeline Miller (who works on Procter & Gamble brands) and John Bowman (General Mills, Reynolds Metals, Centers for Disease Control), group planning director Stacey Lesser (Tide, new business) and Carol Cotton, a futurist who carries the title of director of consumerology.
