Saatchi Healthcare Wins Plavix

NEW YORK Saatchi & Saatchi Consumer Healthcare has landed creative duties on the Plavix blood-thinning drug from Bristol-Myers Squibb and Sanofi-Synthelabo, a client representative said.

Estimated billings are $80 million.

Saatchi Consumer Healthcare, a New York-based unit of Publicis Groupe’s Saatchi & Saatchi, landed the business after a review involving Omnicom Group’s DDB, Grey Global Group’s Grey, Havas’ Euro RSCG MVBMS Partners and Health@JWT, a unit of WPP Group’s J. Walter Thompson, all in New York, said sources.

The brand’s previous creative agency, WPP’s Ogilvy & Mather in New York, split with the client in December [Adweek Online, Jan. 23].
