Marketing Alliance To Focus On Web Services
LOS ANGELES–Saatchi & Saatchi’s office here has announced a strategic marketing alliance with Web services firm ExperTelligence.
The agency’s entertainment division will work with the Santa Barbara, Calif.-based company to develop business opportunities for ExperTelligence’s new product introductions and co-branding alliances.
ExperTelligence is preparing to launch WebData, a portal to Internet databases, and is developing several Web services related to e-commerce and intranets. One of its strategic alliances is with Saatchi client GeoCities, a Santa Monica, Calif.-based provider of personal home pages on the Internet.
“Internet databases represent a dynamic field,” said Alfa Tate-O’Neill, general manager of Saatchi’s Los Angeles entertainment division. “We are especially excited with [ExperTelligence’s] plans for WebData and look forward to developing Web services in several areas, including e-commerce.”
ExperTelligence has developed several Internet technologies since its founding in 1995. Chief among them is WebBase TM, a database-focused Web service that has been licensed to major companies around the world.
“The combination of Saatchi’s marketing prowess and our technological leadership will be very powerful,” said Denison Bollay, chairman and chief executive officer of ExperTelligence.
