Matt Ross, COO of IBM brand services at WPP’s Ogilvy & Mather, joined IPG’s McCann WorldGroup in the new position of president, McCann WorldGroup San Francisco, and global chief executive on Microsoft brands. Ross will oversee all aspects of the client’s marketing, leading efforts from WorldGroup and other IPG companies that serve the business. Microsoft and IBM each spend close to $1 billion on annual global marketing services. Ross worked on Microsoft at Ogilvy in Los Angeles in 1990.
