Robinson Joins Axciom as Senior Strategist

ATLANTA Mark Robinson, the executive creative director at Thompson & Co. for the past three and half years, has left the agency to become senior creative strategist for the publicly traded information technology company Axciom.

Robinson, 52, is helping Axciom develop a direct marketing division to sell the data the company collects. The Little Rock, Ark.-based firm bought two direct marketing companies, one in Memphis and one in Nashville, Tenn., in the past two years to form the new division.

Axciom collects, analyzes, manages and stores consumer information used by financial institutions, insurance companies, advertisers and publishers worldwide. The company reported $1.3 billion in revenue last year.

Robinson said his position was created to help the company find ways to develop marketing strategies for selling its data and related services. He will continue to live and work in Memphis, he said.

Thompson & Co., an independent agency in Memphis, said it is searching for a new executive creative director to replace Robinson.
