R/GA Supports Arts With Web Site Redesigns

NEW YORK R/GA has redesigned two Web sites for arts-oriented institutions: the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University and the Brooklyn Academy of Music.

The Tisch School site (www.tisch.nyu.edu), which targets prospective and current students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents and employees, uses black-and-white images, vibrant colors and clean typography to showcase the school’s rich artistic heritage and its location in New York’s Greenwich Village.

The initial phase of the redesign includes the Tisch School’s core administrative Web pages, as well as those for the Department of Film and Television. The pages for the remaining academic programs will be revamped throughout the school year.

For the Brooklyn Academy of Music (www.bam.org), R/GA improved the Web site’s architecture and navigation. One of the highlights is an events calendar that provides artist, genre and program information for films and live performances.

The site, which aims to reflect the quality of dance, theater, music and opera on BAM’s stages, includes information on the establishment’s education and humanities programs and membership and support opportunities, as well as performance archives, artist biographies, an online gallery and job postings.

R/GA chairman and chief creative officer Bob Greenberg, a member of BAM’s board of directors, donated the New York-based interactive shop’s services for the overhaul of BAM’s Web site.
