Courtney & Watson in Miami Beach, Fla., has landed the $1.5 million advertising account of Revlon General Wig.
The agency has been tapped to help with the client’s wholesale campaign work, marketing communications programs and direct mail catalogs.
While the client has a history of advertising in magazines such as Modern Maturity, Cosmopolitan and Woman’s Day, agency president Stephen Watson said Revlon is “totally open to fresh ideas and new strategic thinking.”
The client’s core audience is women 40 and up, though the desire is to branch out into additional age brackets.
The Miami-based client currently markets wigs under three brand names: Dolly Parton, Revlon and Adolfo.
Separately, the agency also landed the advertising business of The Shops at Sunset Place, now under construction in South Florida.
