New York Omnicom last Tuesday said its first- quarter worldwide revenue rose 15 percent to $2.2 billion, compared with the same period in 2003. U.S. revenue climbed 11 percent to $1.2 billion, and international revenue jumped 21 percent to $1 billion. Net income surged 17 percent over first-quarter 2003 to $135 million. The New York-based holding company also said its diluted earnings per share increased 16 percent to 72 cents a share.
