Re:Think Group Touts Stamford YMCA

BOSTON The Re:Think Group this week launches a public service campaign for the fourth annual Stamford, Conn., YMCA Sports Auction, scheduled to be held on May 15.

The agency, also in Stamford, has crafted both print and radio executions that will run in local newspapers and on area radio stations. One print execution uses the headline, “On This Night, It’s Stamford’s Kids Who Will Score,” along with the image of a signed Allen Iverson jersey, which will be auctioned at the event. Radio features a voiceover by Bobby Valentine, former manager of the New York Mets and a longtime Stamford resident.

“We really wanted to turn the interest up a notch this year,” said Tom Steen, CEO of the Stamford YMCA. Proceeds will benefit the Y’s youth programs.

Re:Think, an independent shop formed about two years ago, produced the work pro bono. Running the campaign will be local media such as The Advocate newspaper and Cox Radio’s Cool 95.9.
