Renault has renewed its contract with Publicis Groupe for another three years, doubling the number of countries in which the marketing communications firm works for the French automotive giant.
Renault, France’s largest advertiser, spends just over $1 billion worldwide.
Publicis now works for the automaker in 28 countries, adding markets like Russia, Turkey, Romania, Ireland, Korea, Ukraine, South Africa, Slovenia and Croatia. (Renault is not distributed in the U.S.)
It could not be determined how much revenue the business generates for Publicis, which has worked with Renault since 1963.
Renault has an alliance with Japan’s Nissan, and last year tapped Omnicom’s OMD unit — which works for Nissan — to handle media on the account.
