Regan Scores PR Business on Land, Sea

BOSTON Regan Communications said it has added several clients for public relations services.

Among the accounts hiring the Boston-based independent in recent weeks are several restaurants, including the Metropolitan Club, a steakhouse in Chestnut Hill, Mass., the Fireplace, a rotisserie restaurant in Brookline, Mass., and BarLola, a tapas eatery in Boston.

In addition, Regan said it would handle publicity for Ray’s New York Bagels, which are made in a New York bakery and distributed in more than 2,500 supermarkets in 14 states.

Other new projects for the agency include promoting the work of the Voyage of the Odyssey, a double-masted research vessel collecting data on whales. Regan is also handling national media relations for the Marriott Hartford Downtown, a new luxury hotel in Hartford, Conn., connected to the city’s 540,000-square-foot convention center, and the shop will coordinate PR for the mid-September Boston exhibition by Green Light Business Solutions of French Impressionist paintings.

“Each presents different challenges and different opportunities, which is what keeps us moving forward as a company,” said agency CEO George Regan.

Budget details were not disclosed.
