Regan Among Local PR Gainers

BOSTON Regan Communications is one of three local public-relations agencies adding notable accounts in recent weeks.

Polar Beverages has hired Boston-based Regan for a three-month publicity and advertising push for the local launch of dnL, a new soft drink from the makers of Dr Pepper/7 Up. The shop will undertake PR, special events and advertising efforts in conjunction with several Boston radio stations. The target demographics for the caffeine and fruit-blended drink are teenagers and young adults.

Separately, Regan, an independent, has been tapped by the Herb Chambers Cos. to help promote its local automobile dealerships.

Interpublic Group’s Weber Shandwick, Cambridge, Mass., was selected this week by Financial Insights, a new IDC company providing research services to users and providers of financial technology. Job one will be to increase visibility of the client’s analysts and their industry reports.

Finally, Omnicom’s Porter Novelli, Boston, was brought aboard by IT consulting company Keane Inc. The client wants to boost its presence in business and trade publications.
