Via Refocuses on Client Strategy

BOSTON Via said it has hired Chris Connor as a group strategy director, a new position at the independent marketing agency,

Connor will focus on Banknorth, as well as the Portland, Maine-based shop’s business-to-consumer clients.

In a related move, Bill Heggie, a senior strategist at Via, has been promoted to group strategy director for business-to-business clients.

The positions were created to help Via provide “high-level account leadership and insight” to its client base, according to agency CEO John Coleman.

Prior to joining Via, Connor spent a year as marketing director at the World Society for the Protection of Animals in Framingham, Mass. She also worked for a decade at Boston-based relationship marketing agency Digitas, serving in various roles such as vp, group director on clients like AT&T and IBM. She has also worked at Chemical Bank, Rapp Collins and Vox Marketing.

That broad experience “makes her an ideal fit for Via’s media agnostic approach to solving clients’ business problems,” Coleman said.
