Rayovac Selects J. Brown for Promotions

BOSTON The J. Brown Agency said it has been hired by Rayovac to handle promotional chores.

“We were especially impressed with J. Brown’s strong combination of promotion expertise and account-specific marketing savvy,” said Robert Hopton, chief marketing officer at Rayovac, in a statement. “J. Brown has a keen understanding of what motivates consumers and proven ability to convert creative ideas into measurable sales results for its clients.”

The Stamford, Conn.-based shop said it was selected after a review of undisclosed agencies. The Atlanta-based client recently worked with Cramer-Krasselt in Chicago on promotions.

Rayovac’s lead ad agency has been Grey Global Group’s Grey in New York. J. Brown is a unit of Grey. The promotional budget was not disclosed.
