Stocks finished the third quarter with a bang, as the Dow flirted with its all-time high of 11,750.28 on Friday before falling back on investor profit-taking. The index closed at 11,679.07, up 142.4 points for a 1.2 percent gain. For the third quarter, the Dow gained 4.74 percent. The Nasdaq increased 1.4 percent, closing at 2,258.43, up 31.06 points. Most ad companies also made gains. Omnicom increased almost 3 percent, closing at 93.60. WPP Group closed at 61.73,
