Organic in San Francisco has named Chuck Sullivan group director and engagement manager. As primary executive contact for the Jeep and Chrysler brands, he will be responsible for all Web site development, digital advertising and interactive marketing. Prior to joining Organic, Sullivan was director of business development marketing for Ford. He has also served as a management consultant with Accenture’s strategic services practice.

RiechesBaird, a marketing consulting firm in Irvine specializing in business-to-business accounts, has installed John Capano as vp of brand strategy. He previously served as’s vp of marketing and business development.

Thomas Taber & Drazen in Denver has added Paul Izenstark as svp, group account director, and Heather Arkell as account supervisor. Izenstark will head the Einstein Bros. Bagels, Great-West Healthcare and Colorado Farm Bureau Insurance accounts, while Arkell will also work on Einstein and Hach Homeland Security Technologies. Izenstark has managed accounts at Young & Rubicam and Dentsu in New York and Los Angeles. Arkell previously worked at Leo Burnett in Chicago on the U.S. Army account.


Joy Pachla has been hired as an account coordinator at Mintz & Hoke in Avon, where she reports to Todd Russell, vp and director of client services. Pachla will manage work flow for accounts such as Mohegan Sun, Wiremold and Praxair. Pachla was previously a communications coordinator at the Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington.


Veronica Sheehan has become svp of network operations for Turner Broadcasting System’s Turner Entertainment Group in Atlanta. Sheehan joined Turner Broadcasting in 1999 as director of broadcast operations and later that year moved to TBS’ in-house production division, Turner Studios, where she has served as vp of operations and original programming. Previously, she was director of operations at National Video Center’s post-production division in New York.


Janie Gabbett has joined Burson-Marsteller in Chicago. In 2004, Gabbett founded communications consulting practice The Gabbett Group. Before that, she was managing editor of Reuters North America in Chicago.


Orla Kelly has joined Nova Marketing in Quincy as an account executive on Lowe’s. Kelly previously worked in account management at Trainor Wendell Iamele, a Providence, R.I., marketing firm.

Vanessa DiFebo has been elevated to director of client service at Euro RSCG in New York. DiFebo will continue to run the ExxonMobil, Evian and Vichy accounts on which she previously served as group account director.

Canon USA has tapped William Reed, svp and general manager, to lead its corporate communications division at the company’s corporate headquarters in Lake Success. He has held a variety of senior management positions within Canon USA’s Imaging Systems Group.

Condé Nast Traveler in New York has hired Will Conrad as advertising manager. Conrad arrives from Sports Illustrated, where he served as the account manager. Conrad returns to Condé Nast Publications, having previously served as account manager at Wired.

Eleanor Martino, former advertising manager for Worth, has been appointed advertising director of Avenue magazine in New York.

Kristin Kane has become associate editor at Rodale Inc.’s Prevention magazine. She was a freelance editor there. Most recently, Kane worked at Syracuse’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, where she was assistant director in the Career Development Center.

Lauren “Daisy” Lewellyn has joined Essence magazine as accessories editor. She is a former fashion market assistant at Glamour magazine.

Former Richards Group principal Greg Goyne has joined another Dallas agency, Firehouse, as principal. Goyne will head the account management group for the agency’s clients. He also will share new business responsibility with Mark Hall, president. Before working at Richards, Goyne was marketing director of Gulfstream Aerospace Corp.

Southwest Media Group in Dallas has hired Matthew Simpson as CMO to oversee marketing efforts and growth. Simpson was previously Dallas marketing manager for Metro Networks, a division of Westwood One, working with clients such as Pizza Hut, Southwest Airlines and Pier 1.

Rives Carlberg has named Lynda Boydstun-Nielsen svp and director of client services. A 16-year veteran of the Houston agency, Boydstun-Nielsen has managed a variety of national, regional and local accounts, including the Houston Chronicle, University of St. Thomas and the Harris County Flood Control District.

Dallas-based RBMM, a subsidiary of The Richards Group, has named Brian Owens a principal. Owens, who joined the agency in 2001, is the shop’s eighth principal. He began his career at RBMM after graduating from Creative Circus in Atlanta.
