Sara Rosales has progressed to vice president, communications, Mattel Brands. Rosales, who joined El Segundo-based Mattel in 1996, was most recently vp, national promotions and strategic global partnerships.
Bill Buckley has been hired as chief marketing officer at Torrance-based Bakers Man. Buckley previously founded Buckley Consulting.
IPG’s Torre Lazur McCann West in San Diego has hired Randy Morris as creative director. In addition to supervising the health care agency’s creative department, Morris will serve as lead art director on various accounts.
Walker Brand Communications of Tampa has hired Charles Militello as art director. Previously, he worked at The HLA Group on accounts including the Tampa International Airport and the Tony Jannus Awards.
St. John & Partners has added Shawn Parks as associate media director at its Jacksonville headquarters. He previously worked as a planning supervisor in the Miami office of Chicago-based Kelly Scott & Madison. The shop has also hired Sherrie Holliday as a senior media buyer. Previously, she was a media supervisor at Keating Magee in New Orleans.
Eric Mower and Associates has promoted Ashley McVey to account supervisor in its Atlanta office. The promotion increases her role with the Syracuse, N.Y.-based shop’s Georgia-Pacific account. Before joining EMA, she worked at MDC Partners’ Fletcher Martin in Atlanta for five years.
Kavita Deshpande has joined Modernista! in Boston as an account executive, working on the agency’s flagship General Motors Hummer account. Prior to joining Modernista!, Deshpande was an account executive at KraftWorks in New York, working on the Cointreau and Sara Lee Hanes accounts. She also spent two years as a marketing manager at Silicon Graphics in Palo Alto, Calif.
Kelly McBeth has become an account manager at marketing agency Via. McBeth joins the shop’s Boston office following contract work in its traffic department. She will now work primarily on the CBS Radio account. Prior to joining Via, McBeth worked at 360 Marketing Strategy and Communications in Boston.
PJA in Cambridge has hired Allison Cherundolo as a media assistant, working on various agency accounts. She joins from PR firm Regan Communications in Boston.
Omnicom Group’s Fleishman-Hillard in Minneapolis has promoted Robert Hanvik to general manager. He replaces Frank Parisi, who left the position in August 2005. Hanvik joined the public relations agency in March 2005 to lead its health care business.
Tricia Stephens has progressed to associate media director at Nicholson Kovac. A six-year veteran of the Kansas City agency, Stephens has worked with most of the shop’s client roster, which includes Sprint, Innovia Medical and Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
CMD & Partners, a marketing communications firm headquartered in Fairfield, has hired Leticia Martin as vp, cd. Martin was most recently chief creative officer at DKB & Partners in Morristown.
GráficaGroup in Chester has hired Steve Bailey as an interactive designer. Bailey previously worked as a new media designer with IMC in Holmdel.
CommonHealth in Parsippany has promoted Stacey Singer to managing partner. Most recently, Singer held and will retain the title of president of Health Learning Systems, located in Wayne. CommonHealth’s Conectics has hired Edward Weber as a media planner and Daena Ghadially as a media coordinator. Weber was a media planner at Mediaedge:cia in New York; Ghadially worked as account coordinator/ad sales manager at Creative Marketing Alliance in Princeton Junction.
Josh Webman, Maggie Bradshaw and Guillermo Echevarria join Hanft Raboy & Partners as art directors. Webman was a freelancer for Heavy and Merkley + Partners. Bradshaw previously worked as a freelance illustrator and art director at JWT. Echevarria worked as an art director at Empire Entertainment in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Dan O’Connor and Carter Debski join HR&P as copywriters. Both are recent graduates of Miami Ad School.
Iris has hired Martin West as creative director. West comes over from Iris’ London office, where he served as deputy creative director.

Frank Meo has been hired as director of sales for photo assignments at Getty Images. Previously, he was the executive director and founder of Meo Represents.
Jeremy Steinberg has been promoted to vp of digital media for FOX News Channel. He previously served as director of digital media sales.
Alan Chu has been tapped as general manager at Smithsonian. He arrives from Time Inc., where he served in various capacities including business manager for People en Español.
Erin Powell has been promoted to senior account executive at DMW in Wayne. Powell joined as an account executive in the spring of 2004.
Curt Knapp has been hired as svp and managing director at USM&P in Dallas. He was vp of marketing at Waste Management.
Michael & Partners in Dallas has hired Michelle Ordeneaux Jones as account supervisor. She was previously an account executive for crosstown Dawson/Duncan Communications.
Tracey Locke has joined Dallas creative boutique Frames as executive producer. Previously, Locke was an account executive on the Pepsi business at unrelated TracyLocke, an Omnicom agency.
