The Miller Group in Los Angeles elevated Sarah Milstein from an account coordinator to an account executive. She will work on the Natural Resource and Defense Council, Leiner Health Products and the Vector Control Districts of Southern California’s West Nile campaign, among others. Milstein had worked for Christie’s International Motor Cars and Saatchi & Saatchi in Torrance.
Michael Nicassio was appointed senior vice president of business development at Los Angeles-based Inside Entertainment Ventures. With more than 25 years of experience in broadcasting, advertising, marketing and corporate sales, Nicassio formerly served as executive vice president of sales at Pro Sports and Entertainment.
Mark Hamilton and Brandon Friedman arrived at Huey/Paprocki as a financial manager and copywriter, respectively. Hamilton will supervise financial operations at the Atlanta agency. He formerly worked as a financial analyst for advertising programs at The Home Depot’s corporate offices in Atlanta. Friedman will work on Huey/Paprocki’s Hitachi Power Tools, ING Financial Network and Vectren Source Natural Gas accounts. He had been a copywriter at Sawyer Riley Compton in Atlanta.
Logan Marketing & Communications promoted public relations account coordinator Ellen Brewer to public relations account executive. Brewer joined the New Orleans shop a year ago.
Equals Three Communications in Bethseda installed Kristen Musumeci as executive vice president, responsible for overseeing all departments and activities. Musumeci is a former vice president of Finding Cures, an affiliate of Matthews Media Group that provides personalized health information. She also has been chief operating officer of MMG. Equals Three also added five other staffers: Melissa Chotiner, who was named account supervisor; Dana Ciutacu, production editor; Katie McGuinness, management supervisor; Lauren Sebastiani, assistant account executive; and Erika Wernery, account executive.
Allie Miles joined Allen & Gerritsen in Watertown as a copywriter. She had held the same post at Mintz & Hoke in Avon, Conn. At A&G, she will work on accounts such as the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship, Cambium Learning and the New England Baptist Hospital. The shop also hired Katie Morris as creative manager. She formerly was an account assistant and copywriter at Kron & Associates in Indianapolis.
Fort Franklin in Boston appointed Caroline McNamara an account supervisor. She had spent half a decade at crosstown agency Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos, working mainly in account services on the CVS business. In addition, Fort Franklin tapped Leslie Deutsch as traffic manager; she had been an account management intern at Modernista! in Boston.
GM Planworks, Publicis’ dedicated media-planning unit for General Motors, named chief operating officer Mary Carpenter executive vice president of the agency. Carpenter, who has been with the Detroit-based unit since its inception in 2000, oversees operational aspects of the company, including human resources, finance, systems and internal product development.
Ken Banks rejoined Doner in Southfield as account management director, overseeing the Circuit City business. Most recently, Banks was CEO of KAB Marketing in Largo, Fla., and was a consultant and professional speaker on retail brand strategy and marketing programs. He had worked for Doner in the late 1970s and early 1980s as an account supervisor.
Group One in Minneapolis hired Kent Bishop as an art director. A 12-year veteran of the industry, Bishop has worked on a number of blue-chip accounts, including Miller Brewing Co., Best Buy and Huggies. For the past 18 months, he has been freelancing.
CurtCo Robb Media LLC, which owns Robb Report magazine, named James N. Dimonekas vice president and publisher for the monthly luxury lifestyle publication. Reporting to CurtCo Robb Media CEO William J. Curtis, Dimonekas succeeds Ernest J. Renzulli, who left the company in August to pursue other endeavors. Dimonekas, who is based in CurtCo Robb Media’s New York office, joined the company last year as vice president and associate publisher. CurtCo Robb Media is based in Malibu, Calif.
Robert Davis arrived at The Halo Group in New York as senior creative director. Davis will lead Halo’s creative department and oversee new work for its clients, including the Bank of Smithtown, Qside Federal Credit Union, Framerica and St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies. Most recently, he was a creative director at Black Ink Advertising.
Citigate in New York hired David Bernstein as executive creative director. Bernstein joins Citigate from Wolf Group in New York, where he was executive creative director on accounts such as Scotts’ Lawn Products, CIT and Equal.
Kolar Advertising named Cindy Kemble associate creative director. Kemble arrives at the Austin shop from Fogarty Klein Monroe in Houston, where she was a senior art director. With more than 24 years of experience, Kemble has worked on brands such as the Texas Department of Tourism, Exxon, Six Flags and McDonald’s. In addition, the agency hired Cadyn Harrison and Juan Gonzales as senior traffic manager and production artist, respectively. Harrison had served three years in the traffic control group at fd2s in Austin; Gonzales was a senior graphic designer at K&N Engineering in Riverside, Calif.
Witherspoon Advertising and Public Relations appointed David Doremus senior public relations account executive. His duties will include media relations, strategic planning, editorial writing and financial management. Doremus joins the Fort Worth agency from InsureZone, where he was marketing communications manager.
Linda Casey was named director of account planning at WongDoody. She is based in its Seattle office. Casey formerly worked at Publicis in Seattle, managing day-to-day planning on Safeco and Real Networks. WongDoody also has an office in Los Angeles.
Michael Vojvodich joined Nelson Schmidt in Milwaukee as an associate creative director working on the Sun Chemical and Zebra accounts. Vojvodich has 10 years of art-direction and design experience. He has worked for agencies such as Sprecher Bertalot, Brady Marketing Group and GreySunderPrescher, all in Milwaukee, on accounts such as Evinrude/Johnson, Komatsu and Concordia University.
