Tim Elliott, a founder of Doig, Elliott, Schur, is leaving the agency to join Foote, Cone & Belding as executive vice president, worldwide account director on the shop’s Citibank business.

FCB New York president Charlie Taney said Elliott’s hire, effective June 16, ends a yearlong search to fill the new position. ‘We have to have a very serious grown-up’ managing the complexities of FCB’s second largest client, Taney said. Elliott has experience in the category, having overseen the worldwide American Express account at Ogilvy & Mather.

‘I prefer the larger, global scene,’ said Elliott as an explanation for leaving DES.
