PR Practice Tier One Opens Its Doors

BOSTON Jeanne Bock and five other veterans of the local public relations market, all operating from different locations, have launched Tier One Partners, a PR and marketing communica-
tions practice that is already working for a handful of business-to-business and consumer accounts.

Jeanne Bock is Tier One’s founding partner and she oversees its operations from Lexington, Mass. She is a former general manager of Omnicom Group’s FitzGerald Communications’ Boston office and has also served as a senior vice president at Interpublic Group’s Weber Shandwick in Cambridge, Mass.

“Our senior people, the six partners, do everything from strategic planning to writing releases to pitching the media,” so while many startups may claim to deliver their top talent on all projects, Tier One delivers on that promise, she said. “We really can charge rates that are far below what other agencies would charge for our experience level. My rate is probably equivalent to an account supervisor or director at a traditional agency. That’s really what makes us different.”

Tier One’s other partners are: Laura Feng, Kim Miller, Maria Hughes, Sue Parente and Kathy Wilson. All of the partners at one time worked at Weber Shandwick on various technology clients and other accounts.

Tier One opens with projects from ArcStream Solutions, Artel Video Systems, LimoLiner, LoJack and RemoteReality. Initial combined fees are $500,000-750,00, Bock said.
