Powers/Sive has changed its name to the Powers Agency, completing changes that began when Powers & Associates acquired Sive/Young & Rubicam in January 2000, the agency said.

The acquisition by the Cincinnati shop created an agency with about 50 employees and $50 million in total billings.

The company at the time kept the Sive name because of the agency’s history in Cincinnati. “But now that the merger is complete, we thought it was time to come under one name with a single-minded focus to build business for our clients,” said Charlie Powers, the agency’s president.

The shop has retained all of its clients throughout the acquisition, Powers said.
