Nick Bilton has been named senior creative at branding agency Powell in New York. Among his first projects is a branding effort for Rheingold beer, including the reincarnation of Miss Rheingold, a transit campaign which ran during the 1950s and ’60s and allowed New Yorkers to vote for their favorite model as Miss Rheingold. Bilton, 26, came to Powell from Lowe Worldwide in New York, where he worked for two years as a creative director. Before that, he was on staff at Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners for one year. He also has been a freelance documentary filmmaker, and has a 17-minute film debuting at the Tribecca Film Festival this year. The New York Art Directors Club recently named Bilton one of the 30 top designers under 30.
