Planet Central has appointed Mitch Perlman media director. Prior to joining the Richmond, Va., shop, Perlman worked at The Martin Agency, where his main focus was the Alltel account. Planet Central has also hired Maria Tranquillo as a graphic artist at its Charlotte, N.C., office. Tranquillo previously was a graphic designer at National Speed Sport News in Harrisburg, N.C. In addition, the agency has added Dawn Dantzler as accounting manager. Dantzler most recently served as general manager at the Adult Pediatric and Asthma Center in Charleston, S.C.
