Pitch Fills Its Top Strategy Role

Sara Bamossy comes from Saatchi

Pitch has reached into the Torrance, Calif. office of Saatchi & Saatchi to fill its top strategy role.

Sara Bamossy is the shop's new chief strategy officer, filling a vacancy left last year by the exit of Sandip Vadher to Draftfcb.

"Sara is incredibly dynamic and has an amazing way of thinking something through," said Pitch president Rachel Spiegelman. "She has that magic combination of fitting not only who the agency is but who we can be."

According to Spiegelman, Pitch took time to fill the role because of the shop's small staff. "When you have such a close-knit, core group of people, you have to make sure [you hire] the right person," she said.

At Saatchi, Bamossy was a group strategic planning director, working on Toyota and General Mills brands.

Pitch, whose top accounts include Burger King, Pepsi and Meineke, was acquired last month by Project: WorldWide. The agency has more than 60 staffers and about $15 million in revenue, benefiting from big marketers breaking up their advertising assignments.
