Pine Mountain is promoting a new formula for its manufactured firelogs, promising a cleaner and more environmentally friendly burn. The company is marketing the product in a national campaign that includes print and online advertising, as well as in-store merchandising and a sweepstakes.
The new Pine Mountain Firelogs are more eco-friendly than using regular wood, according to the company. The product emits up to 80 percent less carbon monoxide than burning natural oak firewood, leading to almost two-thirds less creosote buildup in chimneys. Ads emphasize that Pine Mountain logs create a stress-free ambiance. Tagline: “More warmth. More time. More life.”
The sweepstakes offers consumers the chance to “win the ultimate vacation at home.” Prizes include $5,000 in services, such as a chef or landscaper that will help winners reduce some of their stress, and $5,000 in cash. The sweepstakes runs September through February 2010.
“You can feel good about burning our firelogs—they are a greener way to enjoy the warmth that a fire can bring,” said Mendy Aul, vp and general manager for Pine Mountain, in a statement. “Taking time to relax with family and friends is what makes the experience of Pine Mountain firelogs so enjoyable.”
