Pile Adds Consultant to Help Guide Searches

BOSTON Erin Lanzafame has joined Pile and Co. here as a consultant to help manage account reviews and agency performance evaluations.

She previously held account service posts at Havas’ Arnold in Boston and IPG’s Mullen in Wenham, Mass., working with clients such as Volkswagen, RadioShack, Southern Comfort and General Motors’ credit-card division.

Judy Neer, president of Pile, praised Lanzafame’s multi-disciplinary agency background and said that experience makes her good fit for the consultancy.

Last week, Pile added Brian Tomlinson from Avatar Strategic Partners to lead its financial optimization unit; he takes over some duties from former consultancy managing partner Chris Colbert.

The latter has left Pile to start his own agency here, reviving the Holland Mark name. Colbert through the ’90s helped grow the original Holland Mark into one of New England’s largest independent shops.

Pile is currently handling reviews for creative duties on the $50 million Big Lots account, as well as the $5-10 million LoJack business.
