CHICAGO Procter & Gamble has promoted Bernhard Glock to manager of global media and communication, the company said.

In the new post, Glock will lead the Cincinnati-based client’s global media organization, set strategies and guide related activities. P&G spends an estimated $3.8 billion annually on worldwide advertising.

Glock, 45, who assumes the post on Sept. 1, was previously director of media for the packaged goods company’s operations in Europe and Asia. He is credited with “building a strong media organization grounded in a deep understanding of our consumers” in those markets, said R.
