The Peace Corps, that bastion of young adult altruism from the 1960s, is looking for a face-lift from an advertising agency, according to Steve Maroon, marketing manager for the Washington, D.C.-based organization.
The account, which has been handled on an in-house basis, is looking for some fresh advertising ideas.
“We think it’s time for a new look–a fresh coat of paint, so to speak,” Maroon said.
Though this might be a visible piece of business, the agency that gets the contract will not get any richer than the average Peace Corps volunteer.
