Online Dating Service Engages Mullen for PR

BOSTON Mullen said it has been chosen by online dating service Match.com for consumer public relations chores.

The PR assignment follows a review of several undisclosed agencies. Match.com has not had an outside PR agency in several years. Wenham, Mass.-based Mullen, a unit of the Interpublic Group, will work closely with Match’s internal PR team, which is located in San Francisco and Dallas.

“In Mullen, we recognized a powerful, consumer-savvy agency with a great track record in bringing highly creative, integrated campaigns to life,” said client vice president Trish McDermott, in a statement.

New York’s Bartle Bogle Hegarty has most recently crafted ads for Match.com, which spends about $10-15 million annually on ads.
