Old Navy Taps Deutsch

SAN FRANCISCO Deutsch/LA has won creative chores on the Gap’s Old Navy account following a review, the client has confirmed.

The Interpublic Group shop in Marina del Rey, Calif., bested New York-based finalists Euro RSCG Worldwide, which is owned by Havas, and J. Walter Thompson, a WPP Group holding, in the final round.

Estimated ad spending is $180 million.

The work has been crafted in-house and has of late consisted of campy ads that often take the form of classic TV show parodies.

The Deutsch pitch team was led by managing partner, general manager Mike Sheldon and managing partner, executive creative director Eric Hirshberg.
