Ogilvy Taps Partner, CD in Dallas - DDB, Fallon Vet Fazende to Share Top Post

Ogilvy & Mather has tapped Mike Fazende as partner and creative director.
Fazende’s position is new to the 60-person Dallas office.
“We have been waiting to fill this position with someone with a diverse background and the right chemistry fit,” said Parker Ransom, senior partner and managing director. “Mike brings a well-rounded creative and marketing background from across all advertising disciplines.”
Fazende formerly was executive creative director at DDB Dallas, where he worked on the American Airlines and Midway accounts. Before that assignment, he worked on WFAN Radio, O.M. Scotts and Lee Jeans at Fallon McElligott in Minneapolis. He was part of the team that won silver and bronze awards at Cannes for the agency’s Lee Jeans television spots.
In his new role, Fazende will collaborate with creative director Galen Greenwood on the GTE account and new business initiatives, as well as assignments from Ogilvy’s New York headquarters such as Miller Lite.
“It’s a lean, smart group of advertising people,” said Fazende in a statement. “It really is an exciting opportunity.” K
