The Northway Group here has reorganized its top management as it solidifies a relationship with Primestar and nears the opening of a Denver office.
Chief executive officer Pete Northway appointed former chief operating officer Larry MacPhee as president to oversee day-to-day operations and hired Peter Norris as the $19 million shop’s executive creative director. Norris was creative director at Harris Massey Herinckx of Portland, Ore.
Northway also established a management group consisting of himself, MacPhee and three vice presidents: Cindy Kenyon, who oversees client services and new business activities; media director Julie Flores; and Norris, who replaced departed executive creative director Jim Natherson.
Northway said he wants to incorporate more disciplined strategic planning into the shop’s creative process: “We are [going to be] more account planners and strategic marketers first and foremost.”
