Though Halloween has yet to show its colors, personnel at Pollak Levitt & Nel (PL&N) already have visions of sugar plums and Web sites dancing in their heads.
The Atlanta agency said last week that Holt Educational Outlet, a retailer of children’s developmental and educational toys, has become a major on-line sponsor of PL&N’s award-winning Claus.com Web site. Returning for another year as an advertiser on the site is Quaker Christmas Crunch.
Claus.com has become a popular venue on the Internet during the holiday season, racking up 80 million hits and more than 13 million page views in the five weeks it was up and running at the end of last year.
“We began the Web site to provide an interactive environment for kids that is entertaining and magical, and also capture the true spirit of Santa Claus–caring, sharing and family fun,” said agency principal Bruce Levitt, who also serves as president of the agency’s interactive division.
Claus.com hits the Web this year on Nov. 14.
