CHICAGO Nokia is talking to shops about a global product launch assignment, sources said.

Among the agencies involved are: the London office of Grey Global Group’s Grey, whose New York office handles Nokia’s $70 million U.S. account; Omnicom Group’s DDB; Interpublic Group’s Lowe; Havas’ Euro RSCG; and WPP Group’s Bates, which handles Nokia’s cell-phone business in Asia, according to sources.

Spending on the assignment, which is being pitched out of Nokia’s Helsinki, Finland, headquarters, was not disclosed.
