New Ad Concepts in Pipeline at Miller

LOS ANGELES Miller Brewing Company is “in the middle of repositioning the advertising for Miller High Life,” a representative said today.

Peter Marino, acting corporate media relations director, said that Miller might be presenting new advertising ideas at a national sales meeting scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday in Milwaukee, but he added that it is “premature” to suppose that the faceless spokesman created by roster shop Wieden + Kennedy would be retired.

W+K, an independent agency based in Portland, Ore., declined comment.

Milwaukee-based Miller Brewing spent $25 million advertising Miller High Life and High Life Light brands, per Nielsen Monitor-Plus.
