NEC Technologies is down to two agencies in a review for its estimated $11 million account, with a decision expected by month’s end.
Surviving the cut from a field of six agencies: The Richards Group, Dallas, and Mobium Creative Group, Chicago. The winner will also handle media chores, said NEC representative, Bruce Anderson. He declined to identify the other shops.
Incumbent agency Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos in Boston parted with NEC by “mutual decision” earlier this year, Anderson said.
The Itasca, Ill.-based unit of NEC U.S.A. markets desktop monitors, printers and biometric products, which include fingerprint imaging for security purposes.
NEC spent $11 million on advertising last year, per Competitive Media Reporting.
