BOSTON Network Communications has acquired New England Home, a high-end glossy magazine launched in September 2005 and based in Newton, Mass.

Founder and publisher Dan Kaplan, as well as 17 employees, will remain.

“My team and I are excited to be working together with NCI, as they have a proven track record for producing quality products. NCI will provide us with the resources to gain a much larger distribution as well as the added authority that comes along with being a part of the NCI stable of Home Improvement and Design titles,” said Kaplan, in a statement.
