More than 30 of the NBA’s members of the rookie class of 2008-09 will get their first taste of national marketing next week when they converge for the league’s official rookie photo shoot.

The event, scheduled for July 29 at the MSG Training Facility in Tarrytown, N.Y., will feature such NBA marketing partners as adidas, EA Sports, Topps and Upper Deck. Among the top rookies who will participate in the day of promos, photography and other marketing efforts are the top three picks from the June draft: Derrick Rose (Chicago Bulls), Michael Beasley, (Miami Heat) and O.J.
