BOSTON-After churning out several offbeat and well-received ad campaigns, Mullen and the Sci-Fi Channel have parted ways.
The Wenham, Mass., shop resigned the account last week due to a “shift toward work that is better handled in-house,” according to an agency representative. Mullen will work on the account for 90 more days, said Kat Stein, vice president of corporate communications for USA Networks, parent company of the Sci-Fi Channel.
While the creative portion will be handled in-house, the network is looking for an agency to handle media buying responsibilities, she said.
