In a five-year agreement announced Thursday, Qwest Communications will spend $100 million for online advertising on Microsoft Corp.?s MSN.

Yusef Medhi, MSN?s vp-marketing, said Qwest ads will be integrated with content in a targeted way. ?We?ll begin rolling out a set of next-generation ad types? that include moving pictures, he said. The arrangement will allow Qwest to adjust ad content on the fly to, say, lower prices.

MSN plans to ?really turn up the noise? for Qwest’s high-speed digital subscriber line (DSL) service this summer, Medhi said.
