MSN, Honda Team for Online Campaign

BOSTON Microsoft’s MSN Network today launches an online ad campaign in conjunction with American Honda Motor Co.

The effort is intended to trumpet the introduction of the 2004 model Accord, the companies said.

The effort includes interactive video scenarios (accessible at or through MSN’s home page, Hotmail or MSN Messenger offerings. The vignettes attempt to engage customers by asking them how they would navigate through seven “transitional periods” concerning significant life events, such as buying a dream home, getting married or having children. The umbrella theme of the campaign is “Critical Decisions.” Links to relevant resources, as well as to Accord information, are also provided.

An MSN representative said this is “the first time MSN has used extensive video segments as content” in an effort to “reach a massive audience in new and creative ways.”
