MS&L Adds Entertainment Marketing Pro

BOSTON Publicis Groupe’s Manning Selvage & Lee has hired Bruce MacKenzie as senior vice president, director of entertainment and pop culture marketing, a new position, the agency said.

MacKenzie will oversee the public relations firm’s team of entertainment marketing specialists. He is based in New York and reports to Keith Hughes, director of the consumer marketing practice.

“Bruce will significantly enhance our capabilities in the entertainment marketing arena,” said Wendy Lund, managing director of MS&L. “He adds incredible depth to the group and I know will offer our clients high-level counsel in guiding and building strategic partnerships for their brands.”

Prior to MS&L, MacKenzie, 45, was the entertainment and properties director at Omnicom Group’s TracyLocke in Dallas, where he worked on identifying and negotiating marketing relationships with entertainment properties including an MTV partnership with Doritos and an alliance between Comedy Central and Sierra Mist.

In his new position, he will consult with all account teams and clients working on entertainment marketing programs and sponsorships.

MS&L’s previous commerce-entertainment partnerships include Swiffer with Maid in Manhattan.
