Kelcom Advertising has picked up the $1 million account of auto parts and service retailer Mr. Muffler. The business was previously handled in-house.
The 15-year-old chain, based in Walled Lake, Mich., operates 33 stores throughout the state, offering exhaust systems, shock absorbers, struts, brakes, oil changes, tires and other parts and services. The account includes media buying.
Kelcom, Pontiac, Mich., is expected to launch the company’s first TV campaign. The agency was formed in May by Kelly Neill, formerly an executive vice president of Stone, August Medrich & Co.
