NEW YORK Kris Zagoria, a co-founder and CEO of digital shop Moxie Interactive, a unit of Publicis Group’s Zenith Optimedia, is stepping down effective immediately.
Zagoria is being replaced by Joel Lunenfeld, chief innovation officer at Moxie. He has been with the shop since 2001 and was previously vp, media services at the agency.
ZO acquired the Atlanta-based digital shop in 2006, which was founded in 2000. Clients include Verizon, Coca-Cola, Nestle, Garnier, Maybelline, 20th Century Fox and Home Depot, among others.
Zagoria said she is leaving to pursue “new creative avenues.” She will remain a consultant to Moxie.
Commenting on the switch in a statement, Steve King, CEO at ZO, credited Zagoria with being the “driving force behind the success of Moxie.” Of Lunenfeld at the helm, he said: “We have every confidence that his constant determination to innovate and push the boundaries of the digital space will keep Moxie at the forefront of the interactive world.”
With a staff of about 300, the firm’s capabilities include communications and media planning and buying, search marketing, branded entertainment, digital advertising, ECRM, experiential and sponsorship services and campaign management.
